Hello! I’m GC Gacad, creator and director of Popup Cuban Socials
For over three decades, I have been deeply entrenched in the worlds of hospitality, healthcare, and community engagement.
As a hobby, I began my Cuban Salsa journey in 2012. The fiery passion for this beautiful dance grows everyday. I’ve seen firsthand the power of dance to elevate your mind, body, spirit, and general outlook on life. Dance has proven benefits in treating clinical depression. I’ve seen people who are wheelchair-bound stand up because of dance. They are magically taken back in time simply by just watching the dance that is Cuban Salsa. They are instantly whisked to a period of joy in their lives, whenever that may be.
I encourage you to energize yourself, make the choice to be happy and present, even if just for a single dance, take a respite from the daily grind, and let me facilitate more JOY in your life!
Salsa Dance Lessons for Everyone!
Over the years, Popup Cuban Socials has built a strong brand and fostered the Bellingham Cuban dance community. GC has been dubbed the ‘Vibe Master,’ creating uplifting Pop-up Socials, private catered parties, dance therapy sessions, municipal activities, civic engagement events, and skills workshops with remarkable success.
We’ll share the foundations of Cuban Salsa with you, helping you transform thoughts like “I might embarrass myself!” or “I have two left feet!” into “Dance Everyday Y’all!”
